Marshall NAL Wins First Match
Marshall NAL played their first game last night, competing against Hamilton and winning 23-14. A big part of our success can be attributed to the excellent efforts of our third-quarter team who spoke knowledgeably about their presentation subject. A big thumbs up to our third-quarter team, Sarah Billings, Sydney Climer, Aron Martinez, Heather Golden, and Allyson Kitchens.
Receving Mrs. Ott's gold star of approval for combining two sentences into one is Elisha McBride. Anna Kindle gets the social studies gold star for knowing just who Edward Kennedy was. :) We will ask Mr. Kimber and Ms. Robinson who gets the gold star for math and science!
Thank you to Gonzalo Guzman for "dropping" even though you had an injured foot.
The NAL students looked professional and conducted themselves well. Pictures to come soon!

Focus for our First Practice
Hi, guys! Thank you for being a part of NAL at Marshall. To begin, we'll watch the first video at this link:
After that, we will spend some time on today's focus, which is learning all of the states and their capitals. Use this quiz at funbrain to help you! Only do the U.S. and if you get good at the easy level, then go up to the next level. You've got to know the states and capitols for NAL.
You can access this and practice from home, too, and I hope you will! I'm happy you're here with us in NAL.
With lots of love,
Mrs. Ott
